I had a great experience from the moment I walked in the door. Office staff greeted me and since I was a new patient I was handed a clip board with the necessary forms to be filled out. A short time after that I was called and led to an exam room. The Doctor came in shortly and we talked about why I was there and she told me what we would be doing and the exam started. When the exam was done she explained what she found. I’m glad to report she didn’t find anything that required a follow up. I would recommend Empire Eye to everyone.

I was recently a guest at the surgery center for cataracts and I have not been treated any better than the fancy hospitals I’ve been to in the past the staff was incredibly kind and helpful and I noticed they were that way with all the patients young and old rich and poor all treated wonderfully.Dr.Kao Is a terrific surgeon and we are fortunate to have this center in Bakersfield seven minutes away from my .home. I would recommend this great facility to anyone in the whole valley….

The office is clean, receptionists are professional and friendly. The reception room has interesting educational videos. The wait is short to see the Doctor.
The staff making follow up appointments are accommodating.
Overall a pleasant experience.

Everyone was so kind during my appointment. I was a little late to actual time, but due to a cancellation they were able to accommodate me. Each and every person were well informed and helped me through the eye exams and stuff.

This is a wonderful facility. I was greeted with a smile, and the wait was not long. The staff was exceptional while doing all of the measurements and diagnostic tests. Dr. Chang was professional and very thorough. He explained my results clearly and kindly which helped me understand my options. I met another staff member who explained timing of treatment and any expenses I would have. I highly recommend Empire Eye.

From the moment we walked through the front doors we were greeted with smiles and professionalism. The ladies who took images of my eyes were warm and comforting. I felt completely informed and comfortable with my cataract surgery. Everyone who works there, both in the surgical center and main office, were helpful and happy. This goes to show that Dr. Chang must treat his employees as well as he treats his patients. I will be returning to have my other eye surgery soon.
