Dr. Bajwa was born and raised in Porterville, California. He is a graduate of Monache High School and the University of California Davis. Dr. Bajwa received his doctorate in Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry and completed a one year residency in primary care optometry at the Crown Point Indian Health Services Hospital of the Navajo Nation in Crownpoint, New Mexico. Dr. Bajwa worked for a non-profit health clinic in Grass Valley, California before joining Empire Eye and Laser in December 2010.
Dr. Bajwa underwent extensive clinical training at Kaiser Permanente in Baldwin Park and San Dimas, the Optometric Center of Los Angeles, the Center for the Partially Sighted in Santa Monica, the Gila River Health Care Corporation Eye Clinic in Sacaton, Arizona, the Foothill Presbyterian Hospital Low Vision Clinic in Glendora and the SCCO Eye Care Center in Fullerton.
Dr. Bajwa is licensed to treat and manage a wide range of ocular diseases including the diagnosis, treatment and management of glaucoma.
He is a member of the American Academy of Optometry, the American Optometric Association, Immediate past-president of the Kern County Optometric Society, and is currently serving as Trustee for the California Optometric Association.
When Dr. Bajwa is not treating patients he likes to spend his free time with his family and friends. Dr. Bajwa has a wide variety of interests but spends most of his time enjoying music, movies, sports, and photography.
