Optometrist

Dr. Brittany A. Hoyle received her undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Science with specialization in psychology at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Dr. Hoyle was originally from Canada but moved to Phoenix, Arizona to pursue her dream of becoming an optometrist. In 2019, Dr. Hoyle received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Midwestern University Arizona College of Optometry. She was the valedictorian of her class and received the Dean of Excellence award.

Dr. Hoyle most recently started a yearlong ocular disease fellowship here at Empire Eye and Laser Center. This program will provide the fellow with “advanced training and experience in the treatment of ocular disease through patient care, clinical research, education and scholarship in an integrated eye care model”. Over the course of the last four years, Dr. Hoyle has volunteered to provide comprehensive eye care to patients brought together by non-profit organizations, such as The Act Kids Health Fair and Hope Fest for the homeless. Dr. Hoyle plans to become involved in the Bakersfield community by providing comprehensive eye care to children in need, through the annual OneSight program. Dr. Hoyle is a member of the American Optometric Associated and American Academy of Optometry.

Outside of work Dr. Hoyle enjoys traveling back home to Tempe Arizona to be with her fiancé and three huskies.

As a Primary Care Optometrist, Dr. Hoyle is licensed to prescribe glasses and contact lenses, as well as diagnose and treat a wide variety of ocular diseases.
